GUWAHATI: Assam education minister Dr Ranoj Pegu on Tuesday said that HSLC and HS examinations under the state boards would be conducted in August. Addressing a press meet in Guwahati, Pegu said the exams are likely to be held in between August 1 to 15. He said exams would be conducted following COVID-19 protocol on select subjects.
“The centre said that all the steps related to exams including declaration of results should be completed by September 5. Health department told us situation will improve in July, but it will not be conducive to conduct exams. So, I can indicate that exams would be held from August 1 to 15,” Pegu said.
The education minister said there are possibilities of conducting the exams on select subjects with reduced marks.
