GUWAHATI: Policing is a serious business. But besides maintaining law and order, Assam Police keeps exhibiting its sense of humour in many occasions. Nagaon Police is not also an exception.
The police in Nagaon district of middle Assam recently busted a honey trapping gang in the district. The police arrested four persons including a woman in connection with the honey trapping case. They have been sent to judicial custody after the arrest.
What amuses the netizens, is not the arrest of the four accused, but the quircky tweet Nagaon Police posted.
“This gang used HONEY for TRAPPING victim and demanded 10 lakhs.
Team Nagaon used BHOOT JALAKIYA for TRAPPING the gang and send them for Honey “Sun and Moon” at Jail,” Nagaon Police tweeted.

Bhoot Jalakiya or Bhot Jolokiya which literally means Bhutanese chili in Assamese, is an interspecific hybrid chili pepper cultivated in Northeast India. It is a hybrid of Capsicum chinense and Capsicum frutescens and is closely related to the Naga Morich.
In 2007, Guinness World Records certified that the ghost pepper was the world’s hottest chili pepper, 400 times hotter than Tabasco sauce.
