Much like the opening day, day 2 of the launch event of Nita Mukesh Ambani Cultural Centre (NMACC) — a one-of-a-kind multi-disciplinary cultural space in the sphere of arts, envisioned by Nita Ambani — witnessed the best of the entertainment and arts industry in attendance. Complying with the theme ‘India in Fashion’, the celebrities made head-turning appearances in opulent traditional ensembles. However, it was American actor Zendaya and supermodel Gigi Hadid who stole all the attention in breathtaking saris by famous Indian designers.
Zendaya, who is on her maiden trip to India for the inauguration of NMACC, won everyone’s hearts as she greeted the paps ‘Namaste’, wearing an exquisite ethnic ensemble by ace designer Rahul Mishra. The actor opted for a sheer violet sari replete with shimmering stars and floral stars with the pallu leaving behind a long train. It was paired with a strappy golden blouse that elevated the look further.
To accessorise this stunning look, Zendaya wore a Bulgari bracelet, rings, black heels, and rings. A messy bun and glam makeup rounded off her look.
While Zendaya’s look was a modern take on Indian fashion, Gigi opted for a more traditional number as she turned up in an extravagant chikankari sari by designer duo Abu Jani Sandeep Khosla. Looking divine, she wore a white sari featuring a broad embellished golden border. However, it was the opulent v-neck blouse which seemed to be dripping in gold that was the main highlight of her look.
Adding to the traditional appeal of Gigi’s look was a stack of golden bangles worn by the model on her hands. She further accessorised this look with a pair of stone studs, rings, and golden heels. The look was completed with a sleek middle-parted bun and minimal nude makeup.
Also in attendance were other Hollywood celebrities, including Tom Holland, Penelope Cruz, Nick Jonas, and Law Roach, among others.
