According to reports, the car first hit a few pedestrians walking on the road and an e-rickshaw near Bamunimaidam Railway Colony, then dangerously fled the spot at high speed. While escaping, it hit the road divider of the Shraddhanjali Flyover at Zoo Road, adding more panic to the situation.
Eyewitnesses said that four people were in the car, including the driver, when the accident happened. But all of them ran away from the spot soon after the vehicle stopped. The entire scene created fear and anger among locals, especially since the accident happened on such a special festival night.
