GUWAHATI, Oct 30: The Uttar Pradesh government is all set to enter record books by illuminating the banks of the Saryu River with over 28 lakh diyas at the Diwali celebrations later this evening.
Diwali celebrations at Ayodhya this year hold special significance as it marks the first festivities since the consecration of the Ram Temple.
During the aarti of the festival, another record will be attempted as over 1,100 people are likely to gather at Sarayu Ghat to perform the largest aarti together.
Chief minister Yogi Adityanath has invited everyone to join the grand event and witness the record-breaking event.
The Uttar Pradesh government also launched the ‘Ek Diya Ram ke Naam’ virtual initiative which is available through the Divya Ayodhya app.
Meanwhile, security has been put on a maximum alert with approximately 10,000 security personnel deployed to ensure peaceful celebrations.
