Hindu’s donate Quraan to vandalized mosque in Assam


GUWAHATI: To maintain peace, unity and humanity, people belonging from Hindu community on Tuesday gifted ‘Quraan Sharif’ to a vandalized mosque in Kalpani under Salbari subdivision of Baksa district of Assam in a peace gathering.

It is to be mentioned that miscreants on 1st March vandalized Kalpani mosque and burnt 14 holy books including eleven copies of ‘Quraan Sharif’ and three copies of ‘Hadith Sharif’.

“I on behalf of the mosque committee thank all the people present in the gathering today. People of different religions donated ‘Quraan Sharif’ to the masjid committee.

Baksa Superintendent of Police, Thube Prateek Vijay Kumar donated a Marathi ‘Quraan Sharif’ to the masjid committee ,” said Imam of Kalpani Masjid.
