Guwahati: Assam Health Minister Dr. Himanta Biswa Sarma along with MoS Pijush Hazarika attended the cremation of Hemanga Majumdar at Ulubari cremation ground on Monday evening.
Hemanga Majumdar, a resident of Khanapara area in Guwahati had died on Sunday due to COVID-19 complications at Gauhati Medical College and Hospital (GMCH). He was brought to the hospital late in critical condition.
Dr. Sarma tweeted, “I & @Pijush_hazarika attended cremation of Late Hemanga Majumdar at Ulubari. He had succumbed to #COVID19. We’re in midst of an unprecedented crisis. Important for us to ensure our values, & faith in each other remain intact. We should lend moral support to all affected by Covid.”
