Himanta Biswa Sarma wishes people of Meghalaya, Manipur and Tripura on their Statehood Day

GUWAHATI: Assam Health, Finance and Education Minister Dr. Himanta Biswa Sarma extended his wishes to the people of Meghalaya, Manipur and Tripura on their Statehood Day.

“Greetings to lovely people of #Meghalaya, #Manipur and #Tripura on their #Statehood Day. May you all progress & prosper forever! May the unique cultural identity of these states remains vibrant forever. God bless you all,” Tweeted Dr. Sarma.

It is to be mentioned that under the North-Eastern Areas (Re-organisation) Act, 1971, Tripura, Manipur and Meghalaya attained statehood on January 21, 1972.

Meghalaya Chief Minister Conrad Sangma celebrated the 49th Meghalaya Day at Shillong.
