GUWAHATI: Assam Minister Dr. Himanta Biswa Sarma on Wednesday night visited the Ulubari cremation ground and met the bereaving family members.
The minister took to his Twitter handle to share the pictures of his visit, “Unfortunate that it is there are those who are losing their near & dear ones. To ensure that those who leave for heavenly abode get the dignity that they deserve, I visited Ulubari Smasan (cremation ground) in Guwahati & met the bereaving family members. My prayers & condolences”.

It is to be mentioned that Assam on Wednesday reported 55 COVID-19 fatalities, the highest single-day deaths, pushing the coronavirus death toll to 1,485. The state also registered 4,826 new COVID-19 cases, which took the tally to 2,72,751.
