GUWAHATI: Assam health minister Dr. Himanta Biswa Sarma visited COVID-19 screening centres at Pandu and Bharalumukh in Guwahati on Friday. On his visit, health minister Sarma expressed his gratitude to the healthcare workers who have demonstrated amazing commitment during the pandemic.
Dr. Sarma was accompanied by the senior officials of the district administration and health department.
Screening centres have been set up in all the wards of Guwahti to speed up testing of COVID-19 in the city. On Thursday alone, 8988 tests were conducted in Guwahati.
