GUWAHATI: Assam health minister Dr. Himanta Biswa Sarma who was detected with kidney stone has been recovering gradually. Dr. Abhijit Sarma, superintendent of Gauhati Medical College and Hospital (GMCH) informed media persons that the minister has been recovering and would be able to continue his daily works from Tuesday.
He was given a complete bed rest on Monday. However, despite his illness, Dr. Sarma was seen working on some official files. The photograph of busy Sarma went saline went viral on Social Media which drew commendation from netizens.
On Sunday, Doctors at Gauhati Medical College and Hospital (GMCH) detected the kidney measuring 3.76 mm through Ultrasonography after Sarma had complained of extreme pain in stomach.
