GUWAHATI: Assam health, finance and education minister Dr. Himanta Biswa Sarma left the gathering spellbound by reciting a self-composed poem at a party programme at Dibrugarh.
Dr. Sarma recited the Assamese poem during his speech at Yuva Samaroh of Bhartiya Janata Yuva Morcha’s Assam unit.
The poem talks about his love for Assam as well as rich culture, heritage and civilisation of the country.
It also expresses Dr. Sarma’s commitment to preserve the pride of his motherland. Sarma made references of Lachit Borphukan and glorious history of the state in his poem.
