Himanta Biswa Sarma meets Assam college principals, teachers


GUWAHATI: As all the educational institutes including colleges and universities in Assam have remained shut due to the COVID-19 crisis and nationwide lockdown, Assam education minister Dr. Himanta Biswa Sarma held a meeting with the Assam College Principal Council and Assam College Teachers Association to prepare a roadmap. Minister Sarma discussed the strategy to prevent the academic losses of the students. Earlier, he also held a video conference with the vice chancellor of the universities in the state.

“We understand it is critical to have a new strategy for higher education in wake of #COVID. To prepare a roadmap, held a meeting with Assam College Principal Council & Assam College Teachers Association along with Pr Secy, Education, B Kalyan Chakraborty & Education Commissioner,” Sarma tweeted.
