GUWAHATI: Assam health, finance and education minister Dr. Himanta Biswa Sarma on Sunday kicked off his election campaign with a bike rally from Jonai Gandhi School Field to Silapathar town in Dhemaji district. Participated by around 30,000 party workers and well wishers, this is the first rally after the declaration of BJP’s list of candidates for assembly polls.
“With blessings of Maa Kamakhya, Mahapurush Srimanta Sankardeva and Mahabahu Brahmaputra, I am beginning my campaign today with a bike rally from Jonai to Silapathar with 30000 karyakartas and well wishers..”Dr. Sarma said in a tweet.
