GUWAHATI: In a move to step up the infrastructure to contain COVID-19 pandemic, Assam health minister Dr. Himanta Biswa Sarma on Wednesday inaugurated a Molecular Virology Laboratory at Dr. B. Borooah Cancer Institute in Guwahati.
The laboratory set up at the cancer institute is the 15th laboratory in Assam to test COVID-19.
“Going ahead, our testing readiness and network of laboratories will determine our ability to contain a pandemic,” Dr. Sarma expressed hope.
