GUWAHATI: North East Democratic Alliance (NEDA) convenor and Assam health, finance, education minister Dr. Himanta Biswa Sarma is on Manipur visit to campaign for by-elections to four legislative assembly constituencies in the state. Bypolls in Manipur are slated for November 7.
During his campaign, Dr. Sarma was accompanied by Manipur CM N. Biren Singh.
“Welcome to Imphal Shri. @himantabiswa Ji, Cabinet Minister, Assam and Senior BJP leader. Himanta Da and I will be campaigning for the upcoming by-election in four assembly constituencies of Manipur today. Vote for BJP! Vote for Development,” the Manipur CM tweeted earlier in the day.
Meanwhile, Himanta Biswa Sarma retweeted, “Hon’ble Chief Minister, You are doing excellent work for the people of Manipur. Your simplicity and kind gesture always inspire me.”
Sarma has flown to Imphal after taking part in multiple programmes in Biswanath and Sonitpur districts of Assam in the last two days.
