Guwahati:  Ahead of Assam Assembly Elections, NEDA Convener and Assam health, finance, and education minister Dr. Himanta Biswa Sarma blew the poll bugle from Barpeta road. Attending a public meeting, Dr. Sarma laid foundation stones of several development projects worth Rs 166.64 crore at Barpeta Road.

Dr. Sarma accompanied BJP state President Ranjeet Kumar Dass who is also the MLA of Sarbhog constituency. While attending the event the NEDA Convener urged the people of the constituency to vote for BJP in the upcoming Assembly Elections.

Dr. Sarma said, “We have planned a lot for the Sarbhog constituency and will definitely work for the development of the area. For the last 4 years, Ranjeet Kumar Dass has been proposing a four-lane road and now the government has decided to complete the project of the four-lane road. Ranjeet Kumar Dass has been working tirelessly for the development of the entire area and therefore I urge the people of the constituency to vote for our party”.

“People believe that when the party is in power it should work for the benefit of the people but I believe that an individual who is representing a particular constituency should have the urge to work for the people of his area and I have seen that in Ranjeet Kumar Dass. From the health sector to the education sector to roads development being the MLA of Sarbhog he has done every possible thing for the development and benefits of the people. And I have faith in the people of Sarbhog that the people will remember every work that he has done for the Sarbhog constituency because together one cannot develop a particular constituency in every sector,” added Dr. Sarma.

The senior BJP leader also said that he has faith in the people that they will once again stand with Ranjeet Dass and he will definitely work for the development of not only Sarbhog but also for the entire Lower Assam.
