GUWAHATI: Assam health, finance and education minister Dr. Himanta Biswa Sarma has requested people for a low key Durga Puja to avoid further spread of novel Coronavirus.
Interacting with media persons in Guwahati, Dr. Sarma said, “Our request to the people is to observe puja only with religious rituals. If they obey our appeal, then COVID-19 spread will be limited. If they don’t, it may become worst.”
He reiterated the citizens of the state to celebrate Durga Puja without much grandiose like they did during the Rongali Bihu.
