GUWAHATI: Assam health minister Dr. Himanta Biswa Sarma has urged the citizens of Guwahati to voluntarily give swabs if they notice any symptoms of COVID-19. The government has already set up facilities for swab collections in 31 COVID care centres and 12 hospitals across the city.
Minister Dr. Sarma on Monday visited some of the COVID care centres in Guwahati. He appealed everyone in the city to observe lockdown strictly to control COVID-19 pandemic.
Lockdown has been re-imposed in Guwahati from Sunday night following the surge of COVID-19 cases. It will remain in force till July 12.
