The Assam State School Education Board (Division II) announced that the Mathematics paper of Higher Secondary 1st year examination has been postponed due to “some unavoidable reasons”.
GUWAHATI, March 20: The Mathematics paper of Higher Secondary 1st year examination which was earlier scheduled to have taken place tomorrow (March 21) has been postponed after the question paper was leaked on social media.
The Assam State School Education Board (Division II), earlier known as the Assam Higher Secondary Education Council (AHSEC), issued an official statement to announce the postponement of the examination which the board said was due to “some unavoidable reasons”.
The board further stated that the next date of examination of the subject would be notified “in due course of time”.

Assam Education Minister Dr Ranoj Pegu also took to the social media to announce postponing of examinations.
“It is hereby informed to all concerned that the Question Paper of Higher Secondary First Year (Class XI) of the Mathematics subject, which is scheduled to be held on 21.03.2025 in the afternoon session, is hereby postponed due to some unavoidable reasons,” the notification issued by the Controller of Examinations of Assam State School Education Board (Division II) stated.
“The next date of examination on this subject and course of action will be notified in due course of time,” the notification further stated.
