GUWAHATI: The Assam education department on Saturday formed two high power committees to formulate the marking system of higher secondary (HS) second year and high school leaving certificate (HSLC) examinations which have been cancelled amid ongoing COVID-19 pandemic.
The committee under the chairmanship of former vice chancellor (VC) of Dibrugarh University Dr Alok Buragohain will formulate the marking of HSLC examinations under the Board of Secondary Education (SEBA).
Another committee under the chairmanship of vice-chancellor of Kumar Bhaskar Varma Sanskrit and Ancient Studies University Deepak Kumar Sharma has been formed for HS exams under the Assam Higher Secondary Education Council (AHSEC).
“These two committees will submit their reports to the education department within a week,” said education minister Dr Ranoj Pegu in a Facebook post.
