GUWAHATI: A major road accident took place on NH38 near Pabhoi Centre in Digboi on Monday evening when a coal carrying truck collided head-on with a Bolero Pickup.
According to reports the coal-laden truck was travelling from Margherita to Tinsukia and the Bolero Pickup was coming from Digboi to Margherita.
The Bolero Pickup was without a number plate.The registration number of the coal truck AS 01 Q 8517.
The driver of the Bolero Pickup was seriously injured in the accident.
The local residents with the help of Digboi Police took the injured driver of the Bolero Pickup to Margherita Civil Hospital. The identity of the driver is yet to be known.
