GUWAHATI, Oct 12: The swearing-in ceremony of the new BJP government in Haryana will take place at Panchkula on October 17, a statement issued by the party on Saturday stated.
The oath-taking ceremony, the release mentioned, will be held at the Dusshera ground, Sector 5, Panchkula, at 10am.
The release also stated that Prime Minister Narendra Modi will attend the event along with other senior BJP leaders and chief ministers of other BJP-ruled States.
Incumbent Chief Minister Nayab Singh Saini, who led the party to a record third term in the State, will take oath as chief minister for the second time.
BJP decimated projections of a drubbing by polsters and political pundits by winning a record 48 seats in the 90-member assembly while the Congress could muster only 37 seats.
INLD won two seats while AAP and the JJP drew a blank in the results declared on October 8.
