Haryana Model Sheetal Found Dead: In a heartbreaking incident, a young model from Haryana named Sheetal was found dead in a canal near Sonipat on Monday, June 17, 2025. The shocking part of the case is that her own boyfriend, Sunil, has confessed to murdering her. He stabbed her and then tried to cover up the crime by pushing her car into the canal to make it look like an accident.
Sheetal was a familiar face in the Haryana music industry and had been working hard to build her career. She went missing on June 14 after heading to Ahar village for a shoot. Her family, deeply worried, registered a missing person’s complaint at the Matlauda police station.
Sunil, who is from Israna, was arrested near Park Hospital by the Crime Investigation Agency (CIA). During questioning, he admitted to killing Sheetal. The reason, police say, was that Sheetal had recently discovered that Sunil was already married. This caused major tension between them, which led to the tragic outcome.
According to Sub-Inspector Sandeep from CIA-1, Sunil took Sheetal in a car under the pretext of going for a shoot. Later, he stabbed her to death and staged the accident by pushing the car into the canal near Kharkhoda, hoping it would mislead the investigation. Sadly, her body was found with severe injuries, including cuts on her neck.
Her body was sent for post-mortem to PGI Khanpur and later handed over to her grieving family. A woman from Panipat’s Satkartar Colony, where Sheetal lived with her five siblings, had first reported her missing. Now, the family is demanding justice and hoping the truth will bring them some peace.
The police have registered a case of murder after taking the family’s statement. Sunil is expected to be presented before the court soon. Investigations are still on, and police are also searching for the weapon used in the crime.
The whole state is shocked by the brutal killing of a promising young woman. Sheetal’s death is not just a personal loss for her family but also a reminder of how betrayal and violence still harm women in our society.
