GUWAHATI: A 62-year-old woman has died in the landslide that occurred in Kahilipara area in Guwahati on Friday morning. The woman has been identified as Usha Borah. She was seriously injured in the landslide.
The woman reportdely died in Hayat Hospital of the city.
“The incident took place at around 7 AM,” said a local resident.
On the othewr hand, another person was feared trapped in the landslide. The man has been identified as one Bharat Kalita.
Meanwhile, teams of Assam Police and State Disaster Response Force (SDRF) have rescued the man after a 5-hour-long operation. He has been taken to the hospital.
