GUWAHATI: Twelve COVID-19 positive cases with no travel history have been detected in Guwahati, said Assam health minister Dr. Himanta Biswa Sarma on Thursday.
“We have got 12 cases at community level in Guwahati. We don’t know whether it is community transmission or not. But people should be cautious. So far twelve cases have been detected in Guwahati with no travel history,” Dr. Sarma said.
Earlier on Wednesday the health minister termed the infection in Guwahati as a matter of grave concern.
“So, there is a strain moving. We have to stop it at some point. We have some worries about Guwahati,” Dr. Sarma added.
