“A 24-year-old girl from Chamata tried to dance her way into viral fame — but her tango took a legal twist on Shradhanjali Flyover,” Guwahati Traffic Police wrote in a post on social media
Guwahati Police on Wednesday held four persons, including a 24-year-old woman, for performing erotic dance after stopping their car at the Shraddhanjali flyover in Guwahati.
The woman, identified as Pratima Baishya alias Sweety of Chamata in Nalbari district, was dressed in a single-piece above-the-knee outfit, and could be seen alighting from a car smoking a cigarette.
They were then seen making dance moves that seemed somewhat erotic.
After their video went viral on social media, police swung into action with Dispur Police taking them into custody.
Apart from Pratima alias Sweety, her three male companions who were taken into custody are Manash Bora (25) hailing from Teok in Jorhat district, Peasenjit Paul aka Raj (24) of Bakalia, the brother of the vehicle owner who had shot the video; and Simanta Konwar (25) of Sapekhati in Charaideo district who was driving the vehicle.
The car bearing registration number AS-31F-3666 was also seized.
