Guwahati: In a tragic incident, a woman along with two of her children was run over by a speedy train at Kalipur under Bharalumukh police station on Friday.
The incident happened when the woman was crossing the railway line along with her two children, one of whom was just two months old and another is of six-years-old
The deceased woman has been identified as Minowara Beguma (28 years) a resident of Ratnagiri path of Dhirenpara.
And the six-year-old kid has been identified as Abu Bakkar Siddique.
It is been suspected that the woman might have taken the extreme step due to family issues coupled with financial duress. Though the actual reason is not yet ascertained.
Meanwhile, police have reached the spot and further investigation is underway.
