Guwahati: Sanitisation drive at GMCH

GUWAHATI: Assam health department and Guwahati Municipal Corporation (GMC) along with fire and emergency services, Assam carried out a disinfection drive at Gauhati Medical College and Hospital (GMCH) on Wednesday. The sanitisation process was done as a preventive measure against the spread of Coronavirus.

The authorities sprinkled  disinfectants in presence of minister of state for health and family welfare Pijush Hazarika.

“At this time it is utmost important to save ourselves. Everyshone should be carefull, we should maintain social distance, should stay at home. Because we have to save ourselves, our families, our society and nation. Therefore, we have started this sanitisation process,” said Hazarika.

The process of sanitisation started since Tuesday and was being carried out in a phased manner.

 Dispur was covered on Tuesday while on Wednesday the Guwahati Club Point was sanitised. On the other hand, other towns of the state including Nalbari, Dhubri, Morigaon, Jorhat were also sanitised on Wednesday.
