GUWAHATI: An infant was rescued and united with his mother within a matter of 48 hrs of police complaint. Crime Branch and Basistha Police Station were part of the rescue team that carried out the operation.
According to Guwahati Police, on 11th August, one Halima Khatun complained to the police that her 3-month-old son had been kidnapped.
Taking note of her complaint the Guwahati city police swung into action and rescued the child.
Operations resulted in the arrest of 7 people including Jahangir, the mastermind, who led the team to the child.
