GUWAHATI: The ropeway service connecting Guwahati and North Guwahati over the Brahmaputra which was closed from August 26 resumed from today. The ropeway service was stalled following technical glitches it had developed after two days of inauguration.
The longest river ropeway in the country which covers a distance of 1.8 KM was inaugurated on August 24. The ropeway had been closed since August 26 for maintenance work.
After resumption of the service, many people from across the state boarded the cable cars on Monday.
“We have come from Sadia to travel through the ropeway. It is really a nice experience,” said a woman.
