Guwahati: Assam Chief Minister Dr. Himanta Biswa Sarma is on a mega campaign mode for the Bharatiya Janata Party candidates with only three days left for the crucial Guwahati Municipal Corporation Polls.

After tasting victory from Panchayat elections to the Rajya Sabha election, CM Sarma is leaving no stone unturned in a hope to sweep the civic polls too.

CM Sarma addressed a mega campaign rally at Garigaon and Kalapahar on Monday where he targeted the opposition parties and also the new entrants like Aam Aadmi Party.

The Chief Minister said that since BJP is poised to win all the seats in GMC, it would be a waste for anybody to vote for these parties.

Later in the day, the minister will campaign in Khanapara following which he would head to Jyoti Nagar.

The Assam chief minister who launched his campaign for the GMC polls on Sunday, asserted that there is no opponent to the BJP in the GMC polls and the party’s main focus was the all-round development of Northeast’s biggest city.
