GUWAHATI: MS Road area at Fancy Bazar in Guwahati has been declared as a COVID-19 containment zone by the Kamrup (Metro) district administration. The district administration announced the area as a containment zone after a worker of a godown tested COVID-19 positive on Monday.
On Monday, Guwahati reported two new COVID-19 positive cases—one a patient at Gauhati Medical College and Hospital (GMCH) who originaly hails from Morigaon. On the other hand, Mangu Sahani a worker at a godown at Fancy Bazaar tested COVID-19 positive.
The district administration and health department have identified and arranged quarantine for the people including owner and manager of the godown who had come into direct contact of the man.
