GUWAHATI, Nov 20: One of the two miscreants who robbed a woman of gold jewellery worth around Rs 10 lakh from Rajgarh locality of Guwahati has been arrested by Chandmari Police.
The arrested miscreant has been identified as Bhaskar Kalita, a resident of Kampur in Nagaon district.
Police also recovered the sharp knife the miscreant had used to threaten the woman before fleeing away with her gold jewellery from Rajgarh by-lane 12 last week.
The other accomplice who was with the arrested miscreant, however, is still on the run.
Police said that Bhaskar Kalita used to carry out similar activities in and around Rajgarh area, snatching chain, jewellery and mobile phones from people.
