Guwahati: In a sensational and heart-wrenching incident a minor girl in Guwahati was gang-raped, filmed and then blackmailed in Garigaon, not once but twice, with police now launching a massive hunt to nab five accused youths who are presently absconding.
The 5 youths sexually assaulted the girl, a 16-year-old school student, after one of them raped her first, then made a video of the incident which he later used to blackmail her.
The five accused, all in their early twenties, have been identified as Biki Ali, Faizul Ali, Pinku Ali, Poona Ali and Raja Ali.
A case has been registered against all five at the All Women Police Station in Guwahati’s Panbazar.
Following a medical examination of the minor girl, police will initiate action in the matter.
According to reports, Biki Ali who is known to the victim called her to his house on February 16 where he raped her while one of his friends filmed the entire crime. Biki then started blackmailing the minor victim and on Feb 19 took her to a hotel where he and his four friends gang-raped her again.
It was only after the video became viral that the victim’s family on Thursday came to know about the crime following a case that was lodged at Pan Bazar Women’s Police Station.
