Dipali Rajbongshi, the minor boy’s mother, has reportedly confessed to killing her son with the help of her paramour during the storm that lashed Guwahati on Saturday evening
Mother kills her minor boy with lover’s help in Guwahati: Sensational and gory details regarding the recovery of a minor boy’s body stuffed inside a trolley bag and then thrown besides an isolated street at Indira Nagar in Basistha locality of Guwahati has emerged.
The body has been identified as that of 10-year-old Mrinmoy Barman who was reportedly murdered by his own mother and a man with whom she was having an affair.
Preliminary investigation have revealed that the minor boy, a Class 5 student of Sankardev Sishu Vidya Niketan, Beltola, was murdered by his mother Dipali Rajbongshi and her paramour named Jitumoni Haloi.
Police have arrested both Dipali and Jitumoni who have, reports say, confessed to their involvement in the crime.
Reports said Dipali and her husband had separated following which she entered into a relationship with Jitumoni.
“It’s shocking that a mother can killer her own child, particularly on Mother’s Day. She showed be given the harshest punishment. It’s really very sad and shocking,” a woman of the locality told News Live.
Meanwhile, police sources said Dipali Rajbongshi has confessed during interrogation that her lover Jitumoni Haloi had killed her child Mrinmoy at the same place where the body was recovered.
The minor boy was killed when the storm had lashed Guwahati yesterday, the sources added.
After killing her minor son, Dipali reportedly lodged a missing complaint of her son at Dispur Police Station saying her son who had gone for tuition classes had not returned home.
