Guwahati: In a bizarre incident in Guwahati, a patient was left unattended for over an hour inside a CT scan machine. The incident occurred at Agile Hospitals Pvt. Ltd, Beltola where Chiteshwar Baruah a resident of Biswanath Chariali, who had come to the city for treatment was left alone by the operator inside a CT scan machine for an hour.
It was only after the son of the patient raised an alarm, the father was taken out from the machine.
According to reports the CT scan operator who is an employee of the hospital was allegedly under the influence of alcohol.
This has also been alleged by the son of the victim.
“This is a sheer act of medical negligence and strong action needs to be taken against the hospital authorities,” said the son.
Later the family members registered a case against the hospital at the Basista Police Station.
