A major fire broke out at Guwahati’s Akashi Nagar’s garbage dump, Bamunimaidam at around 2:00 am on Wednesday night.
Although the fire tenders rushed to the spot and had brought the fire under control but it is yet to be completely doused, making residents apprehensive that the flames may flair up.
No casualties were reported at the time of filing the report.
