The Lokopriya Gopinath Bordoloi International (LGBI) Airport, Guwahati has been ranked as the 10th busiest airport in India in the month of November 2022, in terms of domestic passenger movements.
Passenger volume at LGBI Airport was rampant having more than 16000 passengers daily. The surge in travel demand has been mainly driven by domestic passenger movement and chartered services operations.
During the month of November 2022, the airport handled 4, 57,858 domestic passengers registering a growth of 10% over the same month of the previous year.
The airport reached 10th position in November 2022 from 11th as ranked during the pre-pandemic time.
