Guwahati: Assam health minister Dr. Himanta Biswa Sarma is on a war footing to fight Coronavirus. Minister Sarma along with his team has been working day and night to protect the citizens of Assam from the deadly disease. After making arrangements for Coronavirus treatment at Assam Medical College and Hospital (AMCH), Dibrugarh on Saturday, Dr. Sarma supervised the newly set-up ICU unit at Mahendra Mohan Choudhury Hospital (MMCH) in Guwahati.
At the end of the eventful day, health minister Himanta Biswa Sarma met the officials of National Health Mission, Assam (NHM) at their office in Guwahati. The office of the NHM, Assam is also serving as the Covid-10 control room for Assam. Minister Sarma discussed the preparedness of the state government and NHM to fight Coronavirus in the state.
