GUWAHATI: Assam health minister Dr. Himanta Biswa Sarma visited Sarusajai quarantine centre in Guwahati to oversee the transfer of the person who was found COVID-19 positive at the quarantine centre on Friday night. The patient has been shifted to Mahendra Mohan Choudhury Hospital (MMCH) in the city.
On the other hand, a patient from Gauhati Medical College and Hospital (GMCH) also tested COVID-19 positive on Friday. The newly infected patient has been transferred to the COVID-19 ward of the same hospital.
Assam on Friday reported 3 COVID-19 positive cases. While two cases are from Sarusajai quarantine facility and GMCH, another COVID-19 positive patient, a driver migrated from the state.
