Guwahati: BJP leader and Dispur MLA Atul Bora on Monday tested positive for COVID-19.
Bora has been admitted to Guwahati Medical College Hospital (GMCH), sources said.
Bora underwent Covid-19 test on Sunday after he developed cough and mild fever and the result came positive on Monday.
Earlier, Sonari BJP MLA Nabanita Handique had also tested positive for the COVID-19 virus. On Thursday, MLA Nabanita Handique’s son Karanjyoti Handique was also tested positive for COVID-19.
Several other senior and prominent leaders of Assam legislature have also tested positive.
