GUWAHATI: The Rapid Antibody testing of COVID-19 has begun from Spanish Garden in Guwahati which was declared as a containment zone. Manish Tibrewal, the resident of the apartment tested COVID-19 positive on April 3 and later recovered completely from the disease. The rapid testing of 100 people at Spanish Garden was done in the presence of Assam health minister Dr. Himanta Biswa Sarma. The first 9 persons have tested negative.
The rapid testing of COVID-19 will be done in other containment zones of Assam including Athgaon Kabristan Masjid and Laharighat of Morigaon district.
The rapid testing can give the results within 15 minutes. The Government of India has provided 9600 Rapid Testing kits to Assam.
