GUWAHATI: The Assam government has decided to set up a COVID Care Centre at Royal Global University in Guwahati. The facility will house as many as 1,000 COVID-19 patients.
Assam health, finance and education minister Dr. Himanta Biswa Sarma on Tuesday visited the university to review the necessary arrangements. Sarma said the centre will start functioning from May 2.
“Around 1,000 patients will be able to stay here. We have started the work from today. It will become functional from May 2,” Sarma told media persons.
