In a tragic incident, a class 11 student of Little flower school, Guwahati was crushed to death this morning after being hit by after she was hit from behind by the school bus of another Guwahati school, Royal Global School.
The deceased student has been identified as Priya Kumari, a class 11 student of Little Flower School in city’s Hatigaon area.
The accident took place near Raidhani Masjid, just a few metres away from Little Flower School.
The student died on the spot after the wheels of the bus crushed her head, an eyewitness said.
The teen was coming to school with her sister on a scooter when the Royal Global School’s bus hit them from behind killing the student on the spot.
The elder sister who was driving the scooter got thrown away to the other side of the road, the eyewitness said.
However, the driver of the school bus managed to flee from the accident site.
A huge angry crowd gathered at the spot.
Police have reached the spot and are investigating the matter.
