GUWAHATI: All the doctors of Gauhati Medical College and Hospital (GMCH) will resume their duty from Friday, said Assam health minister Dr. Himanta Biswa Sarma at a press meet in Guwahati.
The doctors including the superintendent of the GMCH will resume their duty after testing negative in successive COVID-19 tests. They were put under quarantine after Dr. Lithikesh DS, a post graduate doctor at GMCH tested COVID-19 positive.
Minister Sarma stated that following the directives of the Government of India, the doctors will be discharged from quarantine.
