Guwahati: Assam Health Minister Dr. Himanta Biswa Sarma on Saturday stated that all the air passengers arriving at Lokpriya Gopinath Bordoloi International (LGBI) airport in Guwahati will now undergo rapid antigen test for COVID-19.
Addressing a press conference here, Dr. Sarma said that passengers coming from different parts of India through air in Guwahati city, will undergo rapid antigen test for COVID-19 immediately after their arrival at LGBI airport itself. And the results of which will be declared within a few minutes.
Dr. Sarma also added, “If the test results negative, the passengers will be sent for 14 days of home quarantine. And the positive results patients will be directly admitted to GMCH. However, if the second test results positive the patients will be directly taken from their home and will be shifted to the hospital on immediate basis”.
