GUWAHATI: All the samples of 71 residents of Regional Dental College hostel in Guwahati tested COVID-19 negative. The samples were collected after a resident doctor Dr. Deepa Deka tested COVID-19 positive. The news has come as a big relief to the Assam health department as well as the people of the state.
Taking to Twitter Assam health minister Dr. Himanta Biswa Sarma stated, “This is relief. After a res doctor was tested #COVID19 +, samples of 71 residents of Regional Dental College Hostel were taken and all are negative. Dr Sangeeta Nath & Dr Tribisha Kalita of Dental College, working with Dr Dipa Deka in triage sec of screening area also negative.”
