GUWAHATI: With its extensive testing campaign, the Kamrup (Metropolitan) district administration has conducted 4267 COVID-19 tests in Guwahati on Thursday.
Assam health minister Dr. Himanta Biswa Sarma said that 5 thousand figure would be touched soon.
“Today @DCKamrupMetro has completed 4267 tests for COVID 19 in Guwahati City. Soon we will touch the 5000 figure. Well done team Kamrup metropolitan,” the health minister tweeted.
Earlier on Wednesday, nearly 3500 tests were conducted in Guwahati alone. COVID Counselling Centres have been set up in every ward and area sabhas of the city to execute the state government’s extensive testing campaign.
Assam has already crossed 8 lakh-mark in terms of COVID-19 tests.
