GUWAHATI: An eleven-month-old baby boy has tested positive for COVID-19 at Rupnagar in Guwahati. The infant travelled from Rajasthan with his mother on June 3. The mother has tested negative for COVID-19. Reportedly they visited Hanuman temple with the child at Lachitnagar in the city.
The family allegedly concealed their home quarantine details and was staying at the residence of their relatives. School children attended tuition in the same building where the child has been found positive for COVID-19.
Following the detection of the COVID-19 case, Rupali Path area at Rupnagar has been declared as containment zone.
“We don’t know about the family. School children used to visit the ground floor of the house for tuition,” said a local woman.
